Residents of the Commonwealth Hall at the University of Ghana are peeved by the decision to suspend their Hall Master and Senior Tutor. Management of the school came to this conclusion following the clash between the Vandals and the Vikings of Mensah Sarbah Hall, which occurred on August 5.

The Executive Secretary of the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC), Dr. Ishmael Ackah has announced that Electricity consumers will pay 27.15% more whilst water users have to make do with 21.55% increment. The new tariffs take effect from September 1, 2022 and will extend to 2025.

The Municipal Chief Executive for Yilo Krobo, Mr Eric Tetteh has expressed concern over the behaviour of the youth in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality.

The Electricity Company of Ghana has expressed its willingness to assist the health facilities affected by the power cut in the Yilo and Manya Krobo municipalities.

Power in the Yilo and Manya Krobo municipalities will only be restored when the safety of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) staff is assured. This is according to the power distribution company’s Public Relations Officer, Sakyiwa Mensah.
