The Korle Bu Teaching Hospital is set to reopen its dialysis centre next week after receiving essential consumables for treatment.

The centre had been closed for 13 days without prior notice, prompting renal patients to threaten to picket after seeking care from private facilities.

According to parents of children with the condition, the Food and Drugs Authority has delayed in releasing documents to facilitate the importation of the donor-sponsored medication.
