  • What the hell happened to "ME"? - Yvonne Marchese of Late Bloomer Living

Have you ever woken up and wondered, "What happened to me?"

That's what Yvonne Marchese, host of the podcast Late Bloomer Living and founder of Midlife Uprising Community did in 2018.  She also figured that if she was asking the question probably other women were as well which is why she decided to start a podcast.

It occurred to her that rather than bemoaning that she's getting older she needed to turn it around and start wondering what else she wanted to do in life.  Now, she's a photographer, podcaster and studying to be a yoga instructor - all after the age of 48.

During our conversation we'll be talking about:

    - How midlife is different for men than women.

    - How a few self-discipline strategies completely changed her life around.

    - The song that always played in my head as I entered into midlife.

    - Why you must have a vision for you future, especially in midlife.

  • 3 signs you're in a financially abusive relationship.

Here's the reality - one in five women is or has been in a financially abusive relationship.

Unfortunately many women don't talk about it or don't even realize they are being financially abused.

In this episode I'm talking about three signs that you might be in a financially abusive relationship.

It's critical that every woman be financially independent, meaning they have control over their money and don't rely on anyone else to manage it.  You must control your future.

Here are a few things you must have:

    • User names and passwords for all bank accounts, credit cards, mortgage, bills and investment accounts
    • The balance and interest rates on all credit cards
    • Details on all insurance policies, life, home, auto, medical. What are the deductibles, what are the pay-outs?
    • The check-book balance on a daily basis
    • Your credit score (you should be signed up with a service where you can check it and get alerts)
    • If you're ready to end the overwhelm and stress of your finances and feel confident and in control of your money, you owe it to yourself to sign up for my new course Confidence = Cash: How to be Stress Free, Debt Free, and Financially Independent.  The course begins 2/6. Registration is open now and closes on Friday 2/3/23.  Get more information and register here.

      • Intentionally Design Your Perfect Midlife

It’s a new year and it’s the perfect time to intentionally design your life.

What I mean by that is becoming intentional in where you focus your attention, your energy, your time and your money in order to achieve your goals.

As women we are the ultimate multi-taskers which isn't necessarily a good thing.  We are pulled in different directions and don't have the time to focus on our big goal.

When you're intentionally designing your life you are clear on your goals and taking confident, smart steps to achieve them.

        In this episode I'm sharing:

        • Why creating a personal mission statement is critical to intentional living.
        • The easy steps to creating your mission statement.
        • How your core beliefs and values factor into your success at achieving your goals.
        • Questions to ask yourself to figure out whether your intentionally designing your life.

        • How to achieve your financial goals in 2023

Is one of your New Year's goal digging out of debt or saving for retirement or some special goal?

          Here's some harsh truth...

If you don't have a handle on your finances or budget you're not going to succeed.

Many women aren't financially confident - meaning they aren't clear on their debts, assets and investments. They've allowed someone else to manage their finances - a partner, adult child or someone else.  And this has left them clueless about how to control their money.

In this episode I'm going to share with you some questions to figure out how financially confident you are and how to change it.

And, I'm going to share the first thing you need to do in order to become a successful financial Queen!

Plus I'm announcing my new FREE workshop Smart Budget Basics and Money Habits that starts January 17th - JOIN HERE.

            "How did you survive?"

That's a question my guest coach and author Jacqueline Kent is asked many times.

Having lived a real and raw life where she once felt so trapped she could barely breathe, from a teen mom, to a heartbroken, bereaved one, through living grief and domestic abuse to a real-life happy ever after which belongs in the greatest fairytales, her mission is to help other women see that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, no matter what challenges you face.

Listen to her incredible story and her unwavering commitment to finding happiness.

Hers is a story of determination and confidence.

As a coach and author she is an inspiration to women around the world.  You can learn more about her and her books here.

          • Fail your way to success!

Are you holding back from taking action on your goals because you're afraid to fail?

Many women, especially Gen X women, perceive failure as something that defines who they are, not a specific action or event.

Maybe you're holding off going after your dream job because the last interview didn't go well. Or it could be giving up on a fitness goal because you didn't do the amount of reps you wanted to do last time.

The reality is failure is a stepping stone to achieving success.  Men tend to understand this and shake off failures more quickly as do Millenials.

But for midlife women we take it way too personally.

In this episode I'll share with you:

            - How fear of failure is keeping you stuck.

            - Why we hold back from taking brave steps.

            - The secret to getting over fear of failure as an entrepreneur.

            - How I almost sabotaged my recent goal.
