When the Father turned away from Him as He hung on the cross, Jesus realized that even though He felt abandoned by God, He was still His God.  Jesus knew that His relationship with the Father could never be broken by His circumstances.  As believers, we too can learn from Jesus’ example and be certain that this truth applies to our own lives as well.
