Midnight Movie Cowboys

DUKEY! DUKEY!

So begins the catchcry heard  continually throughout the film we review this time around - Bela Lugois Meets A Brooklyn Gorilla

Starring the Temu Jerry Lewis (Sammy Petrillo) and his cohort Temu Dean Martin (Massacre Mafia Style's very own Duke Mitchell) along with the incomaparable Bela Lugosi, a cheeky chimp known as Ramona and the beautiful Charlita

A lot of Sammy Petrillo deep facts are scattered throughout this episode (thanks to Hunter who is reading his biography) along with the usual chit chat about everything else in this film, and well, everything else, the tangents are most certainly there.

Anyway enjoy this one, we will back next episode with a late 90's horror film.

Go help our friend Ed McCRay (who was on our very popular Song of the South episode) out. His parents were involved in a very nasty accident, and a donation would be very much appreciated. Link below for more information.

Hey guys, just a quick update on the MMC , things that we have planned and things already in effect.

You asked us, you hounded us, you begged us to come back... and now, we are.

After an extensive break of just under a year, the MMC is back and firing on all (aging) cylinders.

Yes, Hunter, John and Stu have returned, and start off with a bang. On this episode, it really does Seem Like Old Times.

Now this isn't a review on the Chevy Chase / Goldie Hawn film, no this is the MMC doing what they do best - shootin' the sh*t and talkin' about whatever they feel like.

This freeform episode was done to help flush the rust out of our systems, next episode, we will be back into the film talk. On this one though, just sit back, relax, and listen to us talk everything from open matte film prints, sound design, a debate on MON-OH recordings, and of course - wrestling.

Enjoy this one folks, we will be out with an episode every 2 weeks (hey, we're family men these days, we still got lives to live)

Next episode out just before Halloween... and it's a real scary one too, in the meantime, enjoy this un'

Thanks for your unwavering support, and especially, your patience.

FINALLY!!! After 15 looooonnnngggg years, finally our Can't Stop the Music is here. Stu's pet project since 2010, and to help round out this episode (which is actually a Mirrorball Movie Cowboys episode) along with Stu, is Hunter and John, Eric Mulder as per usual with Mirrorball episodes, and Eric's WTM co-host Wolfie T. So in essence, this an MMC / WTM megasode under the Mirrorball Movie Cowboys, and in all honesty, this mega film needs a megasode.

We get into all the nooks and crannies (yes I said CRANNIES) of Can't Stop the Music. The production, the cast, the soundtrack, oh and there are tangents, and some wrestling talk (but of course)

Anyway, it is great pleasure we finally bring to you, the one, the only, the Australian New Years Day staple - Can't Stop the Music

Enjoy.

Hey all, to help see off the end of 2025, we present to you another episode of Mirrorball Movie Cowboys. Well, it's actually NOT a Mirrorball episode, but it is. So here's the dirt, this is actually a Watch This Movie episode, but I was asked to be on it, as Mulder and I knew we were covering Skatetown USA for this series.

We decided to release this also as a Mirrorball episode here on the MMC feed. This has actually been out for a few months over at WTM, if you have already heard it, cool, if you haven't then it's here for you now.

Anyway all of us here want to wish everyone a happy, and more importantly, safe new year. We will be putting out more content in 2026. We have a MEGA episode coming out January 14th that you do not want to miss.

For now though, enjoy the madness that is Skatetown U.S.A

Last week, John and Hunter sat down and watched an entire week of wrestling TV programming to evaluate its current quality, including WWE Raw, NWA Powerrr, AEW Dynamite, and JCW Lunacy. Which was the best? Worst? Weirdest? Listen to find out!

Ok gang, it's mirrorball time once again, on this one Stu and Mulder discuss the 1979 Linda Blair disco vehicle - Roller Boogie.

One of the lesser known films of the disco era, and perhaps for good reason, it isn't great... or is it? Well there's only one way to know.

Listen on and find out.

Episode 3 of this series will be hot on it's heels, shortly after Christmas, and then just after new year will be a disco mega-sode you will not want to miss.

for now though, sit back and find out all about Roller Boogie

John and Hunter return to get the wrestle-talk out of their system for future episodes by covering Hal Needham's 1986 wrestling flick Body Slam! Starring Faceman himself, Dirk Benedict, as well as a host of real-life wrasslers like Rowdy Roddy Piper, Tonga Kid, The Wild Samoans, and more! Is it any good? Listen to find out!
