Genesis 1-2:3. Everything came from God who is eternal, creative, powerful, orderly, and loving. We were made to reflect and to represent God and in us we have great value and great purpose to Him.

Though it has received plenty of attention in the news lately, the world's refugee crisis is anything but new. The Bible is full of stories of refugees and offers clear cut truths about them and how we are called to respond to their plight.

1 Corinthians 8:1-3, 1:10-17, Matthew 18:21-35. One of the greatest tools that Satan uses is division. Whether it's personal beliefs held between individuals within the church, or the beliefs of different churches, it's important to recognize that at the end of the day we are called to worship, love, and forgive just as Christ did.

There are many groups of people that we as believers are called to love. Our world has many people of many faiths and backgrounds. As Christians, we ought to love all who are outside the church...not just those who are "like us".

Galatians 4:3-7; Romans 8:14-17. There are many groups of people that we as believers are called to love. One of those groups are the Orphans. Jake Box shares personal experience with adopting his son, Enoch, as well as draws out of scripture that are we all orphans crying our to our Abba Father.

Genesis 4; Ephesians 2, and Rev. 7. We all have witnessed and/or experienced racial division and disunity within our nation. Tori addresses the issue of unifying the races while recognizing that there is beauty in the difference of our cultures.

Habakkuk 3:17-19(Also referenced: 2 Corinthians 8:1-5, Luke 21:1-4). The call to give is written everywhere in the Bible. Whether it's the giving of our time, talent, or treasures, we are to do it with a cheerful heart despite the perceived hardship giving could bring. By the end of this book Habakkuk realizes the delight he can have in trusting God's goodness regardless of what he sees around him.

Habakkuk 3(Also referenced: Luke 9:31). The definition of contentment as described in this series has been: an internal sense of well being not based on circumstances but based on confidence in God's loving leadership of my life. Contentment is a choice and by remembering God's faithfulness in the past, you will find faith and even contentment in the most sorrowful of times present day.
