Moses was a faithful servant, but Jesus is the faithful Son—the builder, not the house—so fixing our eyes on the law, traditions, or even a customized “Build-A-Bear” version of God is modern idolatry. This message connects Israel’s wilderness rebellion to today, arguing that deception, not ignorance, fuels idolatry by reshaping God into something useful, familiar, or culturally comfortable. The antidote is holding fast to Christ through Scripture, Spirit-led correction, honest community, and daily encouragement, so our hearts become worship factories for the true God rather than idol factories that lead to spiritual death.
