This MIFF is a continuation from the last episode, as we discover what happened to the Mead created from Kvasir’s blood. The Aesir soon get word that the Giant Suttung is in possession of the divine mead, and there’s no chance in hell they’re letting a Giant have access to something that gives you wisdom and poetic inspiration. So, in true Norse Mythology style, Odin decides to put on a disguise and travel to Jottenhiem himself to get the mead back to Asgard.

This week’s MIFF takes place during one of the greatest wars that YGGDRASILLLLLLL has ever seen. The Aesir – Vanir War! After years of rivalry the gods from Asgard battle those from Vanaheim in a long and bloody conquest. However, not everyone wants bloodshed. This is the tale of an important peace treaty between the two powers and how a few familiar faces found their homes. Matt and Dan also discuss a recent gig Matt went to.

This week’s MIFF continues a popular theme in Norse Mythology – Gods manipulating a powerful person for their own gain. This time it’s the turn of ‘The Master Builder’, a mysterious man who enters Asgard and offers to build the Gods the strongest, tallest wall in the known universe to protect them from their enemies. The Gods oblige his offer but there are quite a few catches. Also, Matt and Dan discuss Dan’s recent travels in Jordan.

This MIFF sees the age old battle of Gods vs Giants. BFFs Loki and Thor go for a stroll through Jotunheim on route to the city of the Giant Kings – Utgard. Along the way the pair do what any self respecting best friends would do and cause absolute havoc. Get ready for childish pranks, tests of ego, crazy feats of strength and a story about two guys who have nothing better to do than use their powers to entertain themselves. Matt and Dan also read out an anonymous email.

This week’s MIFF is another origin story. Not of a person, god or creature, but of an object. Yep, you guessed it. Today we learn about Mjolnir, Thor’s famous hammer. We all know how powerful it is, but just how did it end up in Thor’s possession? Let’s just say it was an unlikely (and slightly weird) set of events. Matt also tells us about his Dad’s upcoming marriage.
In this week’s MIFF we delve into the back story of Norse Mythologies most famous Son; Thor. We discover who his parents are, what powers he has and what colour his hair is. Get ready for giants, goats and a lot of smashing stuff with a hammer as we separate fact from Marvel to find out what sort of things Thor gets up to when he’s saving Asgard. Matt and Dan also discuss Matt’s recent ice skating trip.

In this week’s episode Odin leaves Asgard on a quest to gain unrivalled knowledge. The universe isn’t always ready to give up its secrets easily. Odin soon learns that to become all powerful and all knowing you have to make sacrifices. After meeting with the oracle Mimir, Odin learns that the sacrifices are super difficult, excruciatingly painful and life changing. However, he’s head of the Aesir with a reputation to uphold, so he carries on regardless. Dan also tells more tales of his hostelling experiences.
