After our first Raised in a Cult episode became one of the most talked-about episodes of the season, there were still so many questions about what happened after Jenny finally left the Independent Fundamental Baptist (IFB) world she was raised in.

Jenny opens up about leaving her arranged marriage, navigating a nearly two-year divorce and co-parenting situation, and slowly realizing that what she had considered "normal" for the first 27 years of her life was anything but.

We talk about the allegations and CPS investigation involving her ex-husband, the disturbing things her daughter began uncovering as she got older, burner phones, hundreds of messages with prostitutes, and what it was like trying to protect her daughter while still being required to navigate the court system.

But this episode isn't only about what Jenny escaped, it's about what happened when she finally had the freedom to figure out who she actually was.

For my parents' 40th anniversary, I wanted to give them something a little different: their story, told by the people who know them best. What started as a simple interview about 40 years of marriage quickly spiraled into five grandkids taking over the microphones, family stories, questionable impersonations, unsolicited opinions and a full-blown roast of Grandma and Grandpa.

We talk about how my parents met, their first years of marriage, what actually makes a relationship last four decades and the family they've built along the way. But underneath all of it is the whole reason I wanted to make this in the first place: legacy. The funny little things you do every day might seem insignificant to you, but they become the stories your kids tell, the traditions your grandkids remember and the moments that make up a family.
