Mightywaybooks Presents: Kids and Kindness - Encouraging stories for children 8-13.

In Chapter 3, Jeremiah arrived at the Kennedy home and immdiately raced to the backyard to play a game of Tag with P.J. When P.J. decided to change the game to football, Jeremiah noticed a small tree in the middle of the yard. P.J. explained that he and the tree were "growing together". Jeremiah then asked P.J. if he could secretly plant his Mustard Seeds believing that one day a tree would grow for him too. He hoped his planting would be a sign that he belonged with the Kennedys.

After having been returned to children services, Jeremiah Jones made a beautiful drawing of a bouquet of flowers for Mrs. Kennedy while he waited for her to place him with a family. She made many phone calls but had no success. She then informed Jeremiah he would be staying with the Kennedys for a couple of days. Jeremiah welcomed the news while in his heart, he held a secret he wasn't ready to share.

Jeremiah Jones has been expelled from McArthur Elementary School and his foster parents, Mr. and Mrs. Daniels have given up trying to help him. They have decided to return Jeremiah to Children's Services where his social worker, Mrs. Kennedy is waiting.

As a foster child, nine-year-old Jeremiah Jones was always running. Whether inside or outside of the school, he was constantly on the move. All he really wanted was a family that he could call his own. After being expelled from school again, Jeremiah begins to believe that no one will ever want him to be a part of their family. While holding on to a priceless gift from his grandmother, along with the support of some special people, he comes to realize that sometimes the important thing is to just finish the race.

The Mustard Seeds realized they had started something good. The Millers were surprised to see how beautiful their yard looked, and the girls were equally surprised to find out that Angie Waller was the Miller's granddaughter. Their first good deed was a huge success, and everyone who helped had shown the importance of being good neighbors.

Kayla was worried because The Mustard Seeds were late. However, her worry soon turned to joy when she saw Morgan's surprise. Moms, Dads, sisters, and one big brother had all come to help. Kayla was especially pleased to see her big sister Mandy had also come to help. It was time for The Mustard Seeds to get to work.

In Chapter 5, The Mustard Seeds wanted to make sure they were ready for their big day. Even though what Morgan planned to bring was still a mystery, they agreed they were ready to begin. The girls were excited because it was time for them to do their first good deed.

It's time for the girls to meet and make sure they are organized for their first good deed. Kayla has her list of what is needed; however, Morgan still hasn't revealed what she plans to bring.

In Chapter 3, we met Angie Waller, a little girl who is not only nosey, but also rude. She wants to know the Mustard Seeds' secret and promises them she will find out what it is. However, the girls of the club are determined to keep Angie out of Mustard Seeds' business.

The girls of the Mustard Seeds Club are all set to make plans for their first good deed. While they hope to keep their club a secret, a girl named Angie Waller believes she has heard something she wasn't supposed to hear. The girls are annoyed. However, they continue with their plan which now includes staying away from Angie.
