It can feel impossible to pinpoint your migraine triggers in the midst of hormones and busy schedules.
As a busy mom who carries the weight of the world on her shoulders, dealing with severe headaches is the last thing you want to put on your plate.
After you’ve seemingly tried every remedy in the book and nothing has worked, it might be your first instinct to say “yes!’ when the doctor suggests HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) or BHRT (Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy).
In today’s podcast, I’m discussing the truth about HRT and BHRT. We’ll also be diving into the world of hormones and possible root causes for the imbalance that is triggering your head pain.
In this episode, you’ll hear:
What HRT and BHRT are.
Why estrogen is one of the leading causes of migraines.
Common causes of estrogen imbalances in women.
The side effects of taking HRT and BHRT for migraine relief.
How to eradicate migraine pain without turning to HRT or BHRT

How many times have you left the doctor's office with a migraine prescription in your hands? Jumping to medication is usually the fastest way to find relief in our busy lives, but it's just a band-aid solution that doesn't last forever. Once the effectiveness fades, migraines often come back stronger and more often.
If you're tired of the migraine medication cycle, you're not alone. On today's podcast, we're joined by two amazing ladies who have followed the Migraine Freedom Protocol. They're sharing their recovery story, including what they did to ditch 95% of their medications while finding migraine freedom.
We hope that today's stories will inspire you to pursue the path toward migraine freedom, too.
In this episode, you'll hear:
The stories of Jen and Tammy, two women who have struggled with chronic migraines, despite medical treatment, for years.
How their migraines had devastating effects on both of their lives.
What Jen and Tammy did to ditch the medication through alternative migraine relief methods.
How the Freedom From Migraines Method™️ has given them relief from head pain, missing family moments, and so much more!

Are migraines getting on your nerves? They quite literally could be—or they could be stemming from a condition called Occipital Neuralgia (ON). ON is caused by irritated or damaged occipital nerves, which run from the top of your spine, up your neck, and into your scalp. When you suffer from ON, you experience intense head pain that can be mistaken for migraines. In this episode, we’re unraveling the truth about the occipital nerve so you can determine if your head pain is truly from migraines or if you have ON to blame.
In this episode, you’ll hear:
What the occipital nerve is, and where it causes pain
The many symptoms of ON that often get mistaken for migraines
How to tell the difference between ON and migraines
Common ON triggers
Why inflammation is the #1 cause of head pain associated with ON and migraines
How to treat ON
Last week, our discussion focused on the trigeminal nerve. If you haven’t checked out that, I highly recommend listening to episode 36 before tuning in today.

Did you know that humans have the ability to detect over 1 trillion odors, yet our individual reactions to them can vary dramatically? Migraine sufferers can be more sensitive to things in their environment, such as light, sound, and even odors. This is called Osmophobia, or a heightened sensitivity or aversion to certain smells. While this is rare on its own, it is quite common in those who suffer from migraines. In this episode, we’re unraveling the mystery of olfactory overload and diving into the connection between odors, fragrance, and head pain.
In this episode, you’ll hear:
What Osmophobia (Ozmo) is and why it can trigger migraines.
Where the olfactory bulb comes into play with osmophobia.

Stats on those who experience a heightened sense of smell during migraine episodes.
Common odors that trigger migraines.
How emotions and our physical sinuses play a role in how we react to certain smells.
Simple ways to reduce your contact with odors that cause head pain and increase your migraine threshold.
