Greece won’t be pressured into picking sides between the U.S. and China, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis told CNBC. “So far, it has not been pitched to us as a dilemma… and I would hope that is not the case,” he said.

Speaking to CNBC’s Silvia Amaro on Europe Early Edition, Mitsotakis said that Greece values its strategic partnership with the United States but also maintains diplomatic ties with China and sees no need to choose between the two.

His comments come as global trade tensions sharpen under President Donald Trump’s second term, raising questions about how allies navigate competing demands from the world’s two largest economies.
