Relatives of hostages held in Gaza and activists demonstrated on Sunday evening outside the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem, asking for a deal for the return of all remaining hostages.

Among them, the father of an Israeli-American hostage who was killed in captivity in Gaza thanked U.S. President Donald Trump for bringing back hostages held in Gaza and added “We know you can do more.”

Dressed in the traditional bull runner's garb of a white shirt and red sash, Yomara Martínez sprinted in a recent death-defying morning run or "encierro" during the famous celebrations in the northern Spanish city of Pamplona over the weekend.

Yet despite being in a crowd of thousands, Martínez, 30, was among a handful of women daredevils running with the stampeding bulls at the San Fermín Festival.

"I have taken part in the runs and know what it feels like up-close, with the bull behind. But Pamplona is another league," Martinez said.

Every year, thousands of people line the medieval streets of Pamplona to witness the centuries-old tradition of running with bulls.

Many watch from balconies and wooden barricades along the course.

Millions more follow the spectacle on television.

Women bull runners are rare, though Martinez and other women taking part in the adrenaline-fueled tradition as more than a spectator say it's growing in popularity.

The bulls pound along the twisting cobblestone streets after being led by six steers.

Up to 4,000 runners take part in each bull run, which takes place over 846 metres (2,775 feet) and can last two to four minutes.

Mexicans quickly weighed in to a letter from U.S. President Donald Trump announcing new tariffs to be imposed on Mexico.

President Donald Trump on Saturday announced he's levying tariffs of 30% against the European Union and Mexico starting Aug. 1, a move that could cause massive upheaval between the United States and two of its biggest trade partners.

"They (tariffs) are very bad. (Donald Trump) is constantly threatening us with tariffs for everything, for anything and it is a 30% that affects everyone," said Griselda Belman, a homemaker. "For everything it is tariffs for this, tariffs for that, for every import or export that we do it is a lot."

Trump detailed the planned tariffs in letters posted to his social media account.

In his letter to Mexico's leader, President Claudia Sheinbaum, Trump acknowledged that the country has been helpful in stemming the flow of undocumented migrants and fentanyl into the United States.

But he said the country has not done enough to stop North America from turning into a “Narco-Trafficking Playground.”

Eduardo Cordoba, an engineer, said the Mexican president needs to take a firmer stance.

The letters come in the midst of an on-and-off Trump threat to impose tariffs on countries and right an imbalance in trade.

STORYLINE:

Relatives paid their respects on Sunday at the funerals of a Palestinian-American and his friend killed in the Israeli-occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said 23-year-old Sayfollah Musallet, from Florida, had been beaten by Israeli settlers.

Diana Halum, a cousin, said the attack occurred on his family's land.

Musallet's friend, Mohammed al-Shalabi, was shot in the chest, the ministry said.

Israel’s military said Palestinians hurled rocks at Israelis in the area on Friday, lightly wounding two people and setting off a larger confrontation.

Palestinians and rights groups have long accused the military of ignoring settler violence.

Their bodies were carried through the streets on Sunday as mourners waved Palestinian flags and chanted, “God is great.”

Musallet's family said it wants the US State Department to investigate his death and hold the settlers accountable.

“We demand justice against these settler terrorists, there's no question about that. They are in illegal land, it's not theirs,” said Kamil Musallet, father of Sayfollah.

The State Department said it had no comment out of respect for the family.

"Here in Pamplona, I came and took part two years ago. I had come before but didn't dare take part. In the Valencia region, there is a lot of enthusiasm for the bulls. And so in Albacete, the town of my grandmother - when I have been able (to), I have taken part in the runs and know what it feels like up-close, with the bull behind. But Pamplona is another league."

"Absolutely not, I don't think that the bull runs or the world of the bull has anything to do with just men. At the end of the day the bull doesn't know about sexes, age or body shape, it doesn't understand what it has got in front of it. What they (women) need is to have enthusiasm, and valour to put themselves in front. And it doesn't matter if you are woman as is my case."
