"I was injured in Zikim. I went to get a bag of flour and was injured. I returned and started sending my wife to get aid. If she gets something, she brings it, and if she doesn't, she doesn't. This is our situation: no water. Even water is difficult to obtain and with fighting aid is also difficult and involves gunfire and blood. Life isn't beautiful.”

"The situation at the charity kitchens is difficult. We don't see any kitchen or anything. Sometimes we stay hungry all day. I swear to God, the children go to sleep hungry, and I send them to collect nylon for the fire or firewood. And I, an injured person, sit and send my wife to go to get aid.”

"I, as a woman, go to get salty sea water, to wash clothes, and to clean stains. I'm unable to bring detergent, soap, or a carton of milk. As you can see, I give her water, or sometimes I make the lentils more liquid and put them in a baby bottle for her to accept it. The situation is critical.”

"They sleep without food, if I can find something or beg from my neighbors, and sometimes I send my son and tell him to beg from houses, bring a loaf of bread, rice to cook, just for your little sister, thank God, but I am unable to manage my affairs more than that.”
