Bryan Kohberger, who murdered four University of Idaho students in cold blood inside their off-campus house in November 2022, came face-to-face for the first time with families of the victims — Madison Mogen, 21, Kaylee Goncalves, 21, and Xana Kernodle, 20 — who gave biting impact statements, at times speaking directly to the “stupid,” “wannabe,” “psychopath,” angry in their grief as they ripped him to shreds. During her daily press briefing, Karoline Leavitt offered the Trump administration's sympathies to the families of the victims. "We are so sorry for the grief and the pain you have experienced at the hands of such a vicious and evil killer. Our nation grieves with you, and we will never forget the precious souls who were lost in this horrific act of evil," Leavitt said.
