A driver had miraculous escape after a high-speed train slammed into his van when it got stuck on a level crossing after running a red light.

CCTV footage released by Malopolska Police in Poland on Wednesday (6 August) shows a white van driving over the railway tracks as the lights flash red and the barriers guarding the crossing coming down.

The driver of the van survived the crash and sustained no injuries. The force also confirmed that no passengers on the train were injured in the incident.

This is the moment a fake nurse who has treated more than 4,000 patients without a license was arrested by police in Florida.

Autumn Bardisa’s alleged crimes came to light in January when hospital officials reviewing her credentials for a charge‑nurse promotion realized she held only an expired Certified Nursing Assistant license.

Investigators determined that from June 2024 through January 2025, Bardisa treated approximately 4,486 patients while unlicensed and accepted payment for services rendered.

Apple's CEO has presented Donald Trump with a 24-karat gold and glass statue.

Tim Cook unveiled the gift at a White House event on Wednesday, 6 August, where the US President announced Apple will invest an additional $100 billion in U.S. jobs and suppliers.

The one-of-a-kind piece was manufactured wholly in the U.S. and designed by a former US Marine Corps Corporal, who now works for the tech giant.

Hundreds of protesters holding chains gathered on Thursday, near the prime minister’s office in Jerusalem, as Israel’s Security Cabinet convened to discuss a possible expansion of military operations in the Gaza Strip.

Donald Trump has said he will impose a 100% tariff on computer chips, likely resulting in the costs of electronic goods and household appliances rising.

Speaking in the Oval Office on Wednesday (6 August) during a meeting with Apple CEO Tim Cook, the US president said that companies which make chips in the US would be spared the import tax.

“So, 100% tariff on all chips and semiconductors coming into the United States. But if you've made a commitment to build or if you're in the process of building, as many are, there is no tariff," Trump said.

The levy on all foreign computer chips is set to be officially announced next week and is expected to apply to all countries and companies.
