The “Umbrella” singer strolled onto the grounds of the Metropolitan Museum of Art at about 10 p.m. — hours after Vogue’s red carpet livestream ended.

In a head-to-toe Marc Jacobs ensemble fitting the theme — “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” — Rihanna wowed in an oversized floppy top hat, suit-inspired gown, cropped blazer, and black and white vintage-looking pumps.

The midsection of the gown was a pinstriped corset that hugged her growing baby bump.

The 2025 Met Gala is officially in full swing, with celebrities walking the blue carpet in New York City in their best suits, ties, and gowns.

This year’s event in New York City celebrates the opening of the Costume Institute’s forthcoming spring exhibition, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” The exhibit focuses almost exclusively on menswear, with a particular emphasis on Black dandyism. So, we’re expecting to see spectacular renditions of a classic black and white tuxedo.

However, the dress code is “Tailored for You,” which is “purposefully designed to provide guidance and incite creative interpretation,” according to Vogue. This means guests will enter the Metropolitan Museum of Art in clothes that reflect their personal styles.

Donald Trump said he does not know who created the now-infamous AI image of him as the Pope but insisted that “Catholics love it,” despite widespread outrage both at home and abroad.

The president said that those that were offended by the image couldn’t “take a joke” and that his wife – First Lady Melania Trump – thought the image was “cute.”

In the image – which was shared by the official accounts of both the president and the White House – an unsmiling Trump is seated in an ornate chair, dressed in white papal vestments and headdress, with his right forefinger raised.

At a White House briefing on Monday, the president was challenged over it image by Fox News reporter Jacqui Heinrich, who claimed some Catholics were “not happy” about it.

Prince Louis was caught on camera impersonating his older brother, Prince George, during the VE Day anniversary commemorations on Monday, 5 May.

While watching the parade outside Buckingham Palace in central London, the seven-year-old, who was sitting next to Prince William, was filmed mimicking George’s hair flick.

The youngster’s cheeky behaviour has often gone viral online during his public appearances over the last few years.

Louis was also caught trying to lend his father a helping hand as he tried to brush something off William’s jacket while watching the VE Day parade.

Donald Trump has revealed he is directing his government to reopen and expand Alcatraz, the notorious former prison on a hard-to-reach California island off San Francisco that has been closed for more than 60 years.

Trump, returning to the White House on Sunday night after a weekend in Florida, told reporters he’d come up with the idea because of frustrations with “radicalized judges” who have insisted those being deported receive due process.

Alcatraz, he said, has long been a “symbol of law and order. You know, it’s got quite a history.”

Jury selection is set to begin as the highly-anticipated trial against Sean “Diddy” Combs kicks off in a Manhattan courtroom.

Federal prosecutors have brought a five-count indictment against the 55-year-old music mogul, accusing him of sex trafficking, transportation to engage in prostitution and racketeering conspiracy.

The rapper was arrested in September 2024 as federal authorities alleged Combs and his associates threatened, abused and coerced victims “to fulfill his sexual desires.” One such desire includes “Freak Offs,” recorded sex performances that prosecutors say Diddy arranged and forced victims to participate in. During searches of his homes in Miami and Florida, authorities said they seized supplies such as narcotics and 1,000 bottles of lubricant and baby oil.
