A heartwarming incident took place in Istanbul’s Beylikduzu Alfa Veterinary Clinic on 13 January when a stray dog brought her puppy clutched in her mouth to a vet clinic’s doorstep.

It was initially thought to be dead, but later veterinarian Baturalp Dogan arrived and heard a faint heartbeat.

He said: “When I checked it with a needle, we noticed a very slow heartbeat. That’s why I said, ‘It’s a hope, maybe he’ll live,’ and we started the fight.”

Mr Dogan commended the dog’s extraordinary act and thought she may have seen local community members take another of her puppies to the clinic - showing her it’s a safe place.

Both of the puppies are now safe and under the clinic’s supervision.

Almost a year since announcing the long-awaited Oasis reunion, brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher have played their first show together in 16 years.

The once-warring siblings kicked things off at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, on Friday (4 July) before further dates around the UK, the United States, South Korea, Japan, Australia and South America.

A man accused of assaulting police at Manchester Airport also head-butted a traveller, a court has heard. Mohammed Fahir Amaaz, 20 allegedly got “in the face” of traveller Abdulkareem Ismaeil and head-butted him in a Starbucks at Terminal Two before police were called, Liverpool Crown Court was told on Friday. Police traced Amaaz and his brother, Muhammad Amaad, 26, who were leaving the airport after picking up their mother from a flight from Qatar.

It was alleged that the brothers used a “high level of violence” and assaulted three officers who arrived to arrest them as they paid for parking. Jurors were shown CCTV.
