In 1996, Alissa Leinonen refinanced her Jeep for four thousand dollars in cash, which she then used as seed funding to found her catering business, Gourmondo. On opening day, she made a total of $36 in sales. Fast-forward nearly three decades, and Gourmondo has grown to become one of the most well-known and successful catering companies in the greater Seattle area.
