Michael falls off the wagon for 3-4 days. Hobbled, he climbs back aboard.
This episode is part of a 3-episode special about one of the top factions on pro wrestling's independent scene: Rocky Mountain Pro's Trigger Warning. Chango Bronson is a globally accomplished grappler and a very dangerous man. Here he details his world-class grappling achievements, and lays out some of his goals and next steps. The three members of Trigger Warning - each smart, skilled, strong and dangerous - seek to take over Rocky Mountain Pro and the wrestling world.
Check them out at www.rmpwrestling.com and at twitch.tv/rockymountainpro. If you are in Denver, watch them Sundays at 4pm MT on KCDOTV3.
Michael makes steady progress this week, and lowers the goal weight to 205/15% body fat. Walking. Eating a small amount less. Sleeping at night.
Michael loses weight, reaffirms his commitment to diet, medicine, and walking, and seeks to add in more water and more squats.
Referee extraordinaire Chris Sharpe joins us this week. One of the great minds and super glue guys in wrestling, Sharpe is a man who knows his industry and craft at a VERY high level. He is multitalented, having designed my logo, and is also a great production guy.
Always great talking to him. Chris and I discuss the Hebners, chain wrestling, Richmond Lucha Libre, being a country boy in Manchester, England, and so much more. If you are a wrestling fan, his knowledge will help you. If you aren't, you will like this guy so much as a person that you can't help but listen. Please leave a review on iTunes, Android, or on Facebook.
Also, this week, wrestling lost one of the all-time great human beings in Matt Cappotelli. His kindness, faith and example will live forever. RIP Matt.
This past week, I had an awesome conversation with an old friend with a similar name that drove my social media political posting way the hell down. Two center-right Never Trumpers try to understand marketing, Senator Elizabeth Warren, social media, our own limits, policy, deep work, epistemology and specialization in the era of Trump and Facebook. We're just rapping here, and we have more questions than answers, but it's a conversation worth your time. It may make you mad. You might nod your head. I actually talk. This is awesome.
PJ Thibodeau is a loving husband and father who happens to be an extremely funny stand-up comic. Turning his vast communication skills and basketball knowledge to coaching, PJ has found an even stronger calling. This guy isn't just a survivor - he's a winner. This episode is incredible. If you're a parent, a coach, a teacher, or an entertainer, listen to PJ's unique perspective after more than 20 years in the comedy world. His sense of humor and intelligence alone carry this episode.
DISCLAIMER: I do not really want myself or anyone else to kick Chris Brown in the chest - this joke is a riff on a Dave Chappelle/Charlie Murphy sketch. Chris Brown is as close to a modern Rick James as I can think of. I can't believe that I might have to explain this.
Michael (274.8 lbs on 6/13/18) sets 5 clear, simple goals for the near future.
