Romans 10:9, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
God the Father raised his son Jesus Christ from the dead. This is the gospel that Paul outlined for us in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. It is by faith in these facts, and agreement with this truth that a person is born again and receives eternal life.
You can be saved today by simply confessing with your mouth that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior, and by believing in your heart that God raised him from the dead. It is simple as that. Believe, receive, and be saved today. Amen.
Heavenly Father, thank you for your son Jesus Christ. I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ rose from the dead on the third day. I believe that he died in my place on the cross, and took all of my sins upon himself, and satisfied completely God's wrath against all of my sins. Thank you, Father, for delivering me from the curse of sin and from the wrath of God through the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for dying for me. I am so thankful that you rose from the dead, that you are seated at the right hand of God, and that you will return again to receive us unto yourself that where you are we may be also. Amen.
Romans 8:34, "Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us."
The Lord Jesus is our High Priest who lives forever and is making intercession for us. His blood washes away all of our sins. The Lord Jesus prays for us.
The Lord Jesus prayed for us before his death and resurrection. Read John chapter 17.
Lord Jesus, thank you for praying for me today. Thank you that you intercede for me, and you never give up on me. You started a good work in me a long time ago, and you have promised that you will continue this good work until the day you come and get me. Thank you for praying for me, Lord. Thank you for interceding for me. I thank you for intervening in my life, Lord Jesus. I love you, Lord. Amen.
Romans 8:11, "But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you."
When we believed the gospel the Holy Spirit came into our spirit and give us life. We were born again by the Holy Spirit. This means we are sealed by the Holy Spirit. This is the same Holy Spirit involved in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This same Spirit will also resurrect us as well.
We are sealed by the Holy Spirit unto the day of redemption. Ephesians 4:30.
Heavenly Father, thank you for sending the Holy Spirit to give me life through the name of Jesus. I thank you for giving to me eternal life through Jesus, and for sealing my life by the Holy Spirit. I look forward to being raised up together with the Lord, amen.
1 Corinthians 15:52, "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."
This transformation from a body of death to a glorified body will take place in less than a second. How quick is "the twinkling of an eye"? Faster than you can think. That is how quick we will be changed. In a moment. In the twinkling of an eye. The dead shall be raised, and we shall be changed.
Changed into what? Scripture reveals that we will receive a body like the Lord Jesus, a resurrected, glorified body. Philippians 3:21.
Father God, I look forward to that moment when you will change this vile body that it may be fashioned like unto your glorious body. This is your work. You are able to subdue all things unto yourself. Lord, I am looking forward to this upgrade! Lord, return quickly, and save us from this world. In Jesus name. Amen.
Romans 6:9, "Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him."
Death was defeated by the Lord Jesus Christ. Death in a spiritual sense is separation from God. Physical death is only the beginning of death for those who are outside of Christ. For those who are in Christ Jesus they will never face separation from God. They will never die in the biblical sense of death. Death has no power over Jesus. Death has no power over those who are in Christ Jesus.
Death has been defeated, and the devil has been defeated. Hebrews 2:14; 1 Corinthians 15:55-57.
Heavenly Father, thank you for saving me through your son Jesus Christ. Thank you, Lord Jesus, that because you destroyed the power of death I never have to be separated from God. Thank you, Father, for reconciling me back to you, and for making a way for me to live with you forever. In Jesus name. Amen.
Acts 17:31, "Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead."
God has appointed a day in which he will judge this world in righteousness. How do we know this? This bible verse teaches us we can have assurance of this appointed day of judgment because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead.
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the intersection of death and life. For those who believe in him they will not be condemned to the second death at judgment. For those who believe and trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior they will inherit eternal life at the judgment of God.
Be assured, everyone will give an account of God for their lives. Hebrews 9:27.
Father God, your word promises that there is an appointed day for every person who has ever lived. There is a day in which every person will give an account of their life to God. The only hope any person has is the Lord Jesus Christ. I pray that many people will turn to the Lord Jesus Christ in faith and call upon his name to be saved. Lord, help me to live a serious life with these truths before me. Help me to not to forget, oh Lord, that every day truly matters. In Jesus name. Amen.
Revelation 20:6, "Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years."
What is the second death? It is the lake of fire. We can avoid this lake of fire by putting our faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ today. Ask him to wash away all of your sins, to cleanse you, and to become your Lord and your Savior. Everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord Jesus will be saved.
What is the first resurrection? Another scripture that describes the resurrection of believers is found in 1 Corinthians 15:52.
Jesus is the resurrection and the life. John 11:25-26.
Lord, I believe you are the resurrection and the life. I do believe you rose from the dead on the third day. I trust in you with my spirit, and soul and body, oh Lord. Thank you for giving me new life through the gospel and for baptizing me in the Holy Spirit. In Jesus name. Amen.
Colossians 3:1, "If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God."
God raised us up and seated us together with the Lord in heavenly place. Now that we are risen with Christ we are to seek those things which are above. The Lord Jesus Christ is at the right hand of God the Father. Our hearts need to be set completely on things above, and not on things of this earth.
Is the bible teaching you listening to pointing you to your true life in heaven, or is it teaching you how to live a better life in the here and now. Is the gospel you listen to from preachers pointing you to heaven or to earth? Colossians 3:3-4.
Heavenly Father, I am dead to this world. I died in Christ upon the cross to this world. My life is now hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is my life, shall appear, then shall I also appear with him in glory. Lord, I look forward to being with you where you are. Return quickly to us, Lord Jesus, and deliver us from this world and bring us into your kingdom. Amen.
Ephesians 2:6, "And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus"
This scripture teaches us about our position in Christ. We were raised up together with the Lord Jesus when he rose from the dead. God has made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Our true position, our true home, is not earth bound. Our home is in the kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ.
There are precious promises of what will happen to us and through us in the day when we arrive at where God has already placed us. Revelation 1:6.
Heavenly Father, I thank you for the truth that this verse reveals to us. Lord, you have already raised us up and seated us together with you in heavenly places. The believer's true position is in heaven with the Lord Jesus Christ. Lord, I look forward to being with you forever. Help me even today to set my affections on things above where Christ sits at the right hand of God. Help me, Lord, to set my mind on things above, and not on things of this earth. In Jesus name. Amen.
1 Corinthians 15:16-17, "For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: 17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins."
Evidently there were some people who did not believe the doctrine of the resurrection. We know that the religious group known as the Saduccees were part of this movement. However, Paul uses basic logic here, and proves that if Christ did not rise from the dead then the Christian faith is null and void. There is no Christian faith without the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
And if there is no resurrection of Jesus Christ then we are all doomed in our sins and trespasses.
This brings to my mind how often religious people focus on controversies that subvert the true faith. What are the essentials? What are the things we can disagree on and still be brothers? The resurrection of Jesus Christ is absolutely a fundamental essential.
Father God, I read in the book of Job how this man in his suffering knew about the resurrection of the dead. He was looking forward to that day when he would stand upon the earth and his flesh see God! Lord, I am thankful for the hope that I have in the resurrection. I am thankful that my faith rests upon the solid foundation of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Amen.
