  • Son of God

Romans 1:3-4, "Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; 4, And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:"

The fact that Jesus Christ is the Son of God was proven when God raised him from the dead. It is essential to understand, believe, and receive the truth that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is the Son of God. He is God the Son.

The devil attacked the Lord Jesus on the basis of Jesus being the Son of God. The religious leaders attacked Jesus while he was hanging on the cross by mocking him regarding his identity as the Son of God. The devil hates that Jesus is the Son of God. It doesn't change who Jesus is. Read Luke chapter 4, and Luke chapter 22.

Father God, I believe and know that your son Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is God the Son. I am thankful for everything you did for me by sending your Son into this world to die on the cross and be raised from the dead. In him we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins. Amen.

  • God who raises the dead

Acts 26:8, "Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?"

The core of Paul's preaching of the gospel was the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. No matter who he was witnessing to or preaching to he let them know that the most important truth is that God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Is this part of our testimony, our witness, our preaching and teaching?

Paul determined that his preaching would be focused on the Lord Jesus and the gospel. 1 Corinthians 2:2.

Heavenly Father, I pray that my heart and the words I speak will be saturated with the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Help me to always keep in my heart and my mind that Christ died for my sins, he was buried, and that he rose again on the third day, according to the scriptures. Lord, let this truth fill me completely. Amen.

  • Appointment with God

Acts 17:31, "Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead."

The Lord has appointed a day in which he will judge the world in righteousness. This judgment will be carried out by the one God has ordained. The one who is ordained to judge is the same Jesus Christ that God raised from the dead.

The Lord Jesus sits on this throne to judge everyone in this world. The only ones will be found not guilty at this judgment are those who have believed in the gospel and received what Jesus did for them on the cross. Believe the gospel! Be saved today! 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.

Lord, the day of grace is running out. The time of your judgment is at hand. I pray for the salvation of the lost. Lord, send forth laborers and workers into the harvest to seek and save the lost. Here am I, Lord, send me. I pray for our families to be saved, oh Lord, for everyone in our family to have the opportunity to repent and put their faith in Jesus. Amen.

  • Jesus is the Christ

Acts 17:3, "Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ."

Paul used the Old Testament to declare and prove to those who heard him that Jesus is the Messiah. He is the Christ that the Old Testament prophesied would come.

Do you know scriptures in the Old Testament that point to the Lord Jesus Christ? Read Psalm 22 and Isaiah 53 to start.

Lord, your entire word declares the truth about Jesus. From beginning to end, your word shows us that Jesus Christ is Lord, the glory of God the Father. Lord, help me to learn your word, so that I can share with people that Jesus fulfilled all the Old Testament prophecies of the Messiah. Amen.

  • Jesus is God's Son

Acts 13:33-34, "God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee. 34, And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David."

The Lord prophesied in Psalm chapter 2 that Jesus would be his Son, and that he would raise Jesus from the dead. This is called the sure mercies of David.

Many of the Psalms are filled with prophecy about the Lord Jesus Christ. Psalm 22 gives a graphic description of the crucifixion and death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus.

Heavenly Father, from beginning to end your Word declares the Lord Jesus Christ is your Son. Lord, the Bible is the story of your plan to save us from sin through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Thank you, Lord, for the gospel. Thank you for what you have done to save us. Amen.

  • Witnesses

Acts 3:15, "And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses."

The early disciples who became the apostles of Jesus were all witness of his life, ministry, death, burial, and resurrection. They knew these facts to be true because they saw it with their eyes and heard it with their ears. They touched him with their hands.

They heard him, they saw him, they looked upon him, and their hands handled him. 1 John 1:1.

Lord, I am a witness because of how you healed me, saved me, delivered me, and changed my life. I am a witness to the power of God through the name of Jesus Christ. Lord, you cast the devil out of me. You delivered me from the devil. You saved me out of deep darkness, and you brought me into the kingdom of Jesus Christ. I was forever changed when you filled me with the Holy Spirit in 1989. I was never the same again. I went from death to life. I am a witness of you, Lord. I am a witness for you. Forever and always. Amen.

  • Loose him and let him go

John 11:43-44, "And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. 44, And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go."

When the Lord speaks even death itself cannot hold us down. God can raise us up, no matter how hopeless or far gone we might appear or feel. God is never too late. All we need is for God to speak into our lives and everything can change. Instantly.

Nothing is too difficult for God. Nothing is impossible with God. Matthew 19:26; Mark 9:23; Mark 10:27

Lord Jesus, you raised up Lazarus from the dead. You are the God who raises the dead. Many times, oh God, my life looks like I cannot go on, that I am at the very end of what I can do. But God! You are still here! You have all authority and power in heaven and earth. Lord Jesus, please speak your word into my life and raise me up. I wait upon you, Jesus. Amen.

  • Do you believe?

John 11:25-26, "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: 26, And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?"

Jesus is alive! He is the living God. He is an ever present help in our time of need. He is not just a God of past history, but he is with us today. He will never leave us or forsake us. Don't let anyone deceive you into thinking that God no longer heals, or does miracles, or does not intervene personally in the lives of people. He is the same today as he was during the time of the Bible.

Jesus is the way, and the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father except through the Son of God, Jesus Christ. John 14:6.

Lord Jesus, you are the resurrection and life. You are not just the God of past history or the God of the distant future. You are here, right now, today, in my life, and in the life of anyone who will open their heart to believe and receive the good news. Lord, reveal yourself to your people in these last days. Open ears to hear the voice of God. Amen.

  • The voice of the Son of God

John 5:25, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live."

The Lord will speak and the dead shall hear his voice and they will live. Jesus like Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead with his word of command, so he will speak again and all those who are dead will be raised up. Death cannot stand before the power of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Do you hear the voice of God? Does the Lord speak to you? Those who hear God's word will live. Humble yourself, repent of your own ideas and opinions, and listen to the word of God. Receive God's word into your heart so that you can have eternal life and be saved. James 1:21.

Lord, I want to receive with meekness the engrafted word of God which is able to save my soul. Lord, thank you for making me one of your sheep, for adopting me into your family through the work of Christ. Father, thank you for speaking to me, for revealing yourself to me, that I may know you through your dear Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

  • Risen on the third day

Luke 24:46, "And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:"

Prophecy foretold the Christ would suffer, die for our sins, and be raised again from the dead. These prophecies are in the book of Psalms, in Isaiah, and also depicted in stories like Abraham sacrificing his only son Isaac and then receiving him back from the dead in a figure.

The heart of our faith is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Old Testament pointed forward to this, and the New Testament looks back on this account. Our faith rests on these historical facts about the Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.

Heavenly Father, I thank you for your word. I thank you that you revealed what would happen before it happened, so that when it happened men would believe. Lord, I believe in the testimony of the bible, that Christ died for my sins, he was buried, and he rose again on the third day. Amen.
