In this episode I chat to Lungile Mhlanga, founder and doughnut extraordinaire at The Treats Club! We cover the whole story of the dessert bar from the first questionable pop-up at Old Street station, through the Netil Market and Seven Dials Market days, to the current set-up doing events, pop-ups and deliveries. Lungi talks about some high highs - including making the Forbes 30 under 30 list - and some low lows, like catching COVID and some food markets from hell.
Lungi gives a lot of very excited shout outs, not all of which made the final cut! They included Hawksmoor, Bleecker, Burger & Beyond, Balthazar, Mamasons Dirty Ice Cream and Happy Endings. Ones that didn't make the pod were: Mare Street Market, Burger & Lobster and Chin Chin Ice Cream.
