As you've seen, Season 3 is dedicated to my father, Mike Jacox, who passed away late in 2021. I Love and miss you, Dad.
Our next guest is Mike Schiappa, who serves as the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) for Beeline, a software company that services the human capital & contingent workforce marketplace. As CPO, Mike is part of the Executive Leadership Team responsible for the strategy, execution, and success of the company. Mike is a highly experienced Procurement Executive with a proven track record of running world-class procurement operations.
Today, we talk to Mike about #fatherhood and how he strives to become and be the ultimate QB of his household. I met Mike through our previous guests, Doug Leeby and Craig Coe, and the talented Jessica Ashcraft! Mike is a Boston native who grew up with two older brothers who taught him so much about life! His father was an accountant who ran his CPA firm and taught him so much about #hardwork. During tax season, his dad would work from sun up to sundown. His mom stayed at home, raised them, and taught Mike love, empathy, and relationships. His #faith is also vital to Mike in his life, and he always helps others first.
Mike wrapped up our episode, sharing how we need to meet our kids where they are. We need to be patient and realize that each kid is different. We must slow down, listen, and always be consistent in how we show up to lead our kids.
