In this episode I speak with Phil Monocle, my brother in FSHD, about how our condition moves through the body, survival tools, and inspiration medicine.

Phil grew up playing cello and bass and working with his hands, mostly with woods and metals, and ultimately worked as a violin maker and restorer until FSH muscular dystrophy forced him to stop. He has spent the ensuing time figuring out "life hacks" that allow him to keep moving and doing, for as long as possible, and in as safe a way as possible.

In our birthday episode we talk with Scott Harding about the will to continue to be artists after disability claims our mobility. We had a few glitches on the tech side, but this is the pilot so we're giving ourselves room to learn and grow. Hope you enjoy this session as much as we did. Thanks for tuning in!
