Mike's Sports Round Up

On this edition, Mike rounds up NFL action from Week 1 as the Jets lost to the Panthers (1:24), Giants lost to the Broncos (12:59), and he reacts to some big games around the league as well (25:08). Mike also talks about the Yankees (35:28) and Mets (50:14) after their electric Subway Series last weekend as both teams make a push for the playoffs. Finally, Mike talks about the USMNT and their big qualifying win over Honduras 4-1, the emergence of striker Ricardo Pepi, and expectations for their next qualifying window (52:15).  

On this week of the show, Mike talks about the ridiculous Javy Baez controversy and how it could result in the Mets giving him the thumbs down in free agency this winter along with some recent wins against the Nationals and Marlins (2:35). Also, Mike talks about the Yankees and some signs of concern as their win streak ends at 13 and are now starting a troubling 4 game losing streak (32:40). Then, Mike talks about European soccer and the biggest storyline there including German great Gerd Mueller passing away (37:14) as well as the USMNT as World Cup qualifying begins next week (52:32).

On this edition of the show, Mike talks about the Yankees as they continue to surge as they get a huge sweep against the Red Sox in the Bronx this week to vault them into 2nd place in the AL East (2:10). Also, Mike addresses Steve Cohen's comments about the Mets offense as their slide continues as they head into an extremely difficult part of the schedule (35:03).
