Another Shmup, but I liked this one and was less poop at it.

Of all of the beat em ups I have poorly described on this feed this is certainly one of them. I cannot lie this left me incredibly whelmed.

Actually while I'm at it wasn't Kurenai an X Japan song? That's a really good song you should probably go listen to that instead, it's got that really intense Hide guitar work on it which is the main reason to listen to X Japan. Honestly I kind of feel like their modern output doesn't grip me as much as the original albums do. Art of Life mate, that's a brilliant song even with the piano solo that sounds like a cat may have ran through the studio midway through recording.

Also why is this game called Sengoku when it's clearly set during a modern period. In what sense is this a game about the warring states? I think SNK may have been trying to pull the wool over our eyes! It's a conspiracy to make us think that Oda Nobunaga invented Pizza!

So I'm just really bad at this game. I dunno, sometimes I'm pretty good at shmups but I just absolutely sucked at this particular number. The presentation is great, I like what I heard of the music and saw of the graphics, but I only got to experience them for little snippets at a time.

The Fatal Fury I wanted to play wasn't working with the capture so I played one I hadn't played before. It's incredibly aggressive to the point I'm not sure if I accidentally set it up wrong.

It was already on so of course I had to play some BlazBlue, it's like the best fighting game that isn't Darkstalkers... I mean it's basically Darkstalkers right?

Anyway I've never played as Kagura so I'm a complete mess until the last few fights where I'm only a bit of a mess. It's fiiiine.
