A JRPG with a lot of Dragon Quest trappings to it, based on a manga, based on Romance of the Three Kingdoms, which is kind of based on oral folk tales of the actual war at the end of the Han Dynasty. It boasts a silly number of playable party members.

I didn't even get to a battle... But I did settle the tiny girl by talking about the oath in the peach grove. She was less than a week old at time of recording.

Guest appearance from my wife bursting in on me at the end after her much needed nap.

With a sort of drifting baby in hand we take a trip to the mean streets in this fun 3ds brawler/RPG.

So I'm just dead tired and probably incapable of being interesting late at night.

If you're the type to read the descriptions let me give you a run down of this game. It's a really rad fighting game where you're floating around and battling in the style of Dragonball Z, let's be fair that's what you'll think of if you play it. Maneuverability in this one in particular is amazing, there's really potential for technical play here. Also the characters are all vibrant with a real over the top plot with warring factions of psychic warriors.

Most importantly this particular version (ps1) is stuffed to the gills with modes and extras. It's really good.

I mean it's really obvious what the mistake I made was but still I feel like a doof. Also this is fundamentally less silly than Original Generation.

So the live Rouroni Kenshin is a pretty good film isn't it? Well I enjoyed it regardless. I kind of end up wondering if it's coincidence mixed with tenuous historical fact or if the set up for Gintama is actually a bit of a Kenshin parody.

Obviously I like your more classic style Samurai films that are more like period peices (Twilight Samurai comes to mind). But golly that was a very feature complete chanbara film wasn't it?

Ummm... I'm also trying out Fantasy Life, it's like Rune Factory but with classes.

Tomba continues to charm while I continue to fail in that particular endeavour. However I do have fun drowsily rescuing dwarves and despising pointy spiders.

Can't remember specifics but I ended up seeing the cool ship design concept art for R-Type and was like: "ooo that'll be a good one for the baby bonuses!"

So I've got a second small person, and while she's having a wee sleep on me I decided to natter into my phone while playing this month's calendar game, Golden Axe.

Personally prefer Golden Axe to Streets of Rage if I'm doing single player. Now I need to see if I can balance a baby and my ludicrous volume of R E Howard's Conan stories. Quick tangent, Howard is uncomfortably racist at times in a way that seems racist even for the time of publication.
