Milan had a tough week, with a loss in the Europa League and a draw in the league. But that is not the most concerning setback. With the international break upon us, Italy's handling of the pandemic is more inconsistent than ever, and it seems like they are heading more and more toward another complete shutdown. Adreano and I discussed the recent matches and the COVID-19 crisis this week as Italy took one step forward, two steps back.
On this Episode:
Thanks so much to Adreano for the great convo and for his passion for all things Milan. Follow him and his podcast:

Three games in seven days gives fans plenty to talk about, but there was also plenty to talk about off of the pitch this time as well. George and I also discussed Serie A's handling of COVID-19, Franco Baresi being given an honorary title and the minority shareholders' meeting also all happened in a very busy Milan week.

Thursday's win away to Celtic seemed to really emphasize the new era of Milan that has been growing since January. With 21 matches undefeated, the youngest average aged team in Europe, it is truly a great time to be a Milan fan. Denmark native and Kjaer expert Søren has seen the greatest and some of the poorest Milan teams, and we sat down to discuss all things Milan this week.
On this Episode:
Thanks so much to Søren for the brilliant convo and sharing his amazing stories of Milan. Also thanks for sharing Kjaer with us, here's to a long and legendary Milan career for our Viking defender!
Hell yeah. Milan won the Derby. Undefeated since the restart, top of the table, but earning a win over Inter is by far my personal favorite accomplishment. However, unfortunately, it came under the cloud of a discussion about a deadly virus and a protocol that promotes politics instead of health, safety, and life. Still, despite Italy and Serie A's complete failure to do the right things, Milan were not to be stopped. Aaron and I celebrated what was for both of us a Saturday morning celebration of epic proportions.
On this Episode: • Quote of the Week from Maldini • Mercato Update • Injury Update • Serie A Protocol • Derby della Madonnina
Also, don't miss the Elite Football Show's "Mental Health & Football Special" featuring Rob Blanchette and Ryan and Dan from the Man Marking Podcast on iTunes, Spotify, and more. Such an important discussion for everyone to know about.
Thanks so much to Aaron for celebrating the Derby and talking about the serious things, too. Give him a follow on Twitter @AaronJBradley89 to support a fellow Milan fan.
Milan continued their feel good story of the year with a perfect start to the season ahead of the international break. They even survived an insane penalty shootout in the Europa League last week, and lived to qualify for the Group Stage. With the mercato closing today, Vinny and I had so much to talk about, including how fans are learning to win.
Milan have kicked off their season in much the same way they ended the last season: winning. So refreshing to have the results, but also the personnel and performances that Milan fans have been dreaming of for so long. However, outside of Milan, it is business as usual. Jesús and I discussed Milan's great start to the season as well as the corruption in football outside of Milan.

• Corruption in Football

It's the start of another season, so there is so much to talk about as far as news, the transfer market, friendlies, and our first Europa League match. However, this season is different than many of the recent seasons in that there are so many good things to talk about for once. Miguel and I all of this as well as some of our predictions for this season.

Or the potential impact they will have on football in the future? Rui and I caught up on all things Milan, then dug deep into the amazing number of former Milan players who are keeping Milan's glory days very much alive.

At this time of the year, Milan fans are used to having mercato PTSD. But this year, we have evidence that we can be optimistic. To prove that, Nic from Milan Club Boston and I took a tour of some of the summer mercato signings of the past eight years. After remembering some of the "marquee" signings from those years, we realized that we have so much evidence to be optimistic about Milan this year.
On this episode:
Thank you so much to Nic for sharing his Milan origin story and talking Milan past and present. Follow the Milan Club Boston on Twitter @MilanClubBoston and on Instagram milanclubboston.
This is such a strange year, and such a strange time to be in between seasons. The mercato hasn't even opened yet, but the players are returning to Milanello on Monday. However, there is some news and also mercato updates to talk about. That made it a perfect time to turn to the fans from Twitter, so Francesco and I answered their questions, as well.
On this episode:
Thank you so much to Francesco for answering all of the questions, musing about the mercato, and listening to me rant about Puma's fashion challenges. Follow him on Twitter @FrancescoPetra8.
