Dan Myatt left the stability of his job serving in the United States Air Force in 2015. He is the co-founder and CEO of Mavuno, a 501c3 nonprofit organization started while on active duty. Mavuno is committed to ending extreme poverty in eastern Congo. A family man, an entrepreneur, and visionary- Dan and his team have already made a significant impact empowering village leaders towards independence. Mavuno’s three main priorities include: supporting agriculture, education, and health & sanitation. Mavuno’s mission is ending extreme poverty- not just alleviate it.
Bio: Dan Myatt is the co-founder and CEO of Mavuno, a nonprofit organization that empowers local leaders to end extreme poverty in eastern Congo. Dan previously served on active duty for seven years as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) officer in the US Air Force before transitioning to Mavuno full-time. He currently resides in St Louis, Missouri with his wife and two sons, and they hope to make their home in the Congo by this summer.
