U.S. Border Patrol, BORTAC and Office of Air Marine conduct fast rope air insertion and hoist extraction of simulated casualties near the U.S. / Mexico Border in Nogales Ariz. There is also a simulated car pursuit and arrests.

Hawaii Army and Air National Guardsmen were called to support Hawaii County Civil Defense authorities reacting to the Puna lava flow. They patrolled neighborhoods and blocked roads from curious onlookers from the lava flow advancing towards homes.

The main front of the Puna lava flow closest to the town of Pahoa has stalled, but remains active. Several breakouts have occurred on the rear and edge of the flow.

Afghanistan has suffered more than thirty years of violence and anarchy. The collapse of the brutal Taliban regime has offered the country a brighter future, but at a tremendous cost in human lives.

Every single victim was somebody’s father or mother, brother or sister, husband or wife, son or daughter.
