My sister-in-law is joining the military and I've been developing the most optimal credit card strategy for her, whether she only does a 4 year enlistment or stays in for 20. Disclaimer--As of Feb 21, 2026, it appears that purchasing United Travel Bank is no longer triggering the airline incidental fee credit. It's possible reimbursements for folks who purchased Travel Bank after Feb 6 are simply taking a couple weeks longer than usual, but it's also possible this is no longer working. We'll post an update if TB comes back into play!
