This week Brock & Jeremy talk to Ezra Duplissie-Cyr, Head Brewer at First Mile Brewing Company. Ezra left his hometown in rural Maine to try and find a career. Turns out, his career was back home all along. Brock and Ezra grew up in neighboring towns and both attended Bowdoin College. From Bowdoin, Ezra explains how we explored his curiosity while trying to find a job that made him happy.
Our conversation with Ezra highlights a tough decision for anyone looking to make a career change - how do I balance stability with contentment? Beyond contentment, how do I find happiness in what I do?
Ezra's path included Denmark and Sacramento, CA until some timely advice led him back home to Maine. Ezra's story will resonate with anyone searching for a job that doesn't feel like an obligation but instead an exploration. Ezra explored a variety of academic and corporate jobs before choosing to pursue his career as a Master Brewer. Within a mile of Canada, Ezra inspires with his perspective on decision-making, happiness and the future.
Who among us hasn't considered opening up a brewery or pub or distillery? Hear from someone who actually lives it. Ezra will infuse some energy and perspective to help you find your way to your next career or at least your next pint.
