In part 3 of the Wellness Project I sit down with Amber Morris and Tori Pokodner, who are the women behind Unified Nutrition. The dynamic duo met on the soccer field of Arundel High School in 2009. Although the two went to different colleges to play collegiate soccer, they remained close and connected. After their soccer careers came to an end, the two took different paths on their fitness journey. Tori went on to become a personal trainer and competitive athlete, whereas Amber struggled with her weight for years after her soccer career ended. In May of 2020, Amber turned to Tori for nutritional guidance. Tori introduced Amber to counting macros. Counting macros allowed Amber to change her relationship with food, exercise portion control, and successfully lose and keep off 20 pounds. Most importantly, she achieved a new lifestyle. After losing weight and gaining better control of her health, Amber tried to convince Tori to start a nutrition business. Tori replied, “If I eat, you eat,” and that is how Unified Nutrition was formed. . MILLENNIALS VS THE WORLD WELLNESS MEDIA PROJECT 2022 is a 5 part project!
