When Scriptures are twisted or superseded with alleged extra-biblical revelations, the results are never good. They create false gospels and those lead straight to hell.

Propitiation is a potent word which means a sacrifice of atonement for our sins. It's the total extinguishing of God's fiery wrath against our sinful selves, achieved by our Holy God through the sacrifice of His Son who absorbed the wrath we deserved.

What might it take for us to regain the deep sense of love and trust shared by our ancestors in the faith? How might we once again bask in the rich blessing of having fellow sojourners walking with us through thick and thin? What might God need to do to bring it about?

Where do we turn when things are in turmoil? Sadly, we see in our world today people turning to all kinds of diversions, all sorts of escapes in order to avoid the worries and difficulties of life. God says that he will make a way for us.

Jesus offers a generous and loving invitation to all who would come to Him. He promises that He is gentle and lowly in heart, and to those who come He promises rest.

Mary holds a dear place in our hearts for good reason--she's the quintessential Mother who gave birth to Christ our Lord. From manger to cross to empty tomb, she was there.

The waters of Baptism and the Bread & Cup point to, illuminate, even dramatize the powerful and beautiful and incredible and joyfully unspeakable redemption purchased for us by Almighty God through Jesus Christ our Lord!

Timothy will need courage to not only carry out his leadership duties to the church but face the opposition and persecution that's coming his way. History records he rises to the occasion as he eventually faces his own martyrdom.

This is the Messiah, the Righteous One, the One who bore our sin, died in our place, rose from the dead, ascended on high, sent His Holy Spirit to dwell within us, Him who rules & reigns from that very throne, prays for us unworthy ones, and has promised to return to raise the dead and consummate His Kingdom.
