Sometimes God speaks in a soft whisper and we have to lean in close to hear Him. Often it's through the illumination of Scripture. Sometimes it's through the anointed encouragement of a wise friend (or even a stranger). He's there. He loves you. Wait for Him...

May we be blessed to run our races in such a way that we cross the finish line with our torches blazing, that great cloud of witnesses cheering, our Father smiling--and all this to the honor and glory of His name!

Faithfulness is fitting for us because we serve a faithful God. Therefore love God and one another. Be thankful. Be humble. Be generous. Obey Him from the heart. Be ye faithful! And see what He does with your life in the days you are given.

Light pierces the darkness as Immanuel, God with us, Jesus--God the Son, is born! The Light of the World, the Bright & Morning Star, the Light of Life, has come to vanquish the darkness!

Have you made room for Christ in your own heart and life? Have you received or rejected this One who came to rescue you from sin and death? Therefore hear this all you spiritual orphans: God has made room for you even if you've not yet made room for Him!

The full impact of God giving us His Son is headed towards our unending celebrations in New Jerusalem. What a Day that will be! 2 Corinthians 9:15 sums it up well: "Praise God for this incredible, unbelievable, indescribable Gift!" Gloria in excelsis Deo!

How, during the Christmas season, do we become a thorn in the side of the world, our flesh, and the devil? Drill down to Jesus! Let the lion's share of your celebrating be towards the Lion of Judah!

For those in Christ, we not only groan in the midst of sufferings inherent with this fallen world, we also groan for a coming Better Day. We groan for the culmination of our adoptions as God's children. And we especially groan to be in the glorious presence of our Lord...

Is there hope for us former slaves of sin who were once bound for death? Romans 7:24-25 is more than hopeful when it says: "What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!" Hope for liberation? A thousand times yes!
