There are the hormones of our 24 hour sleep wake cycle: think cortisol, melatonin, and leptin
Then there's the hormones of our reproductive systems. Think, testosterone, estrogen and progesterone.
The 24 hour sleep wake cycle hormones are the ones really calling the shots.
