Who is Gregory White???
Gregory is a native Detroiter who decided to make D.C. his home. He is a family
man and father to an 18-year-old daughter, 22-year-old son, and 34-year-old
daughter. He credits his Detroit upbringing with shaping his inner resilience,
resourcefulness, and ability to navigate diverse terrains.
Professionally, he is a Program and Management Analyst for the Office of the
Comptroller of the Currency. His work primarily involves data analysis, data
visualization, and process improvement.
As a public servant he has also worked for the U.S. Census Bureau, the
Department of Commerce, and the Department of Housing and Urban
Development. Prior to his federal career he spent a decade working for Fortune
150 firms, like Pfizer, Morgan Stanley, and Liberty Mutual.
However, his initial profession was as a high school teacher. He taught
Government, History, and Geography in inner city Boston and Detroit. Continuing
his leadership at the local level, he was recently elected as the Advisory
Neighborhood Commissioner for his section of Ward 8 in Washington, DC.
Academically, he earned his Bachelor of Education degree from the University of
Michigan and his Master of Education degree from Harvard.
