Before we get to her weekend celebration, I wanted to reflect on how cool it has been to watch her grow up, how fulfilling it is to witness her reach milestones of development along the way, and to wish her the very best as she enters the adult world. Congrats, Carmen! You’re an adult now; welcome to real life. 🎁

It was a hell of a weekend! On May 4th, our concert crew (me, Tonks, Jason, Joe, Amy) saw Amon Amarth, Cannibal Corpse, Obituary, and Frozen Soul at The Sylvee. My father and I originally saw Amon Amarth in May of 2016 at a venue in Chicago; we’ve been hooked ever since! With that said, Tonks and Amy had never seen Amon or Cannibal play live. I’m glad the entire group could get together and witness another terrific show! Tune in to hear about our history with these bands, our pre-show adventure, and an unforgettable performance by the biggest names in Death Metal. 🤘

We’re back this week for round two of Footprints and Photographs! Today’s post comes as a surprise to us, meaning we had no intentions of getting an Exposure page over the weekend. How could we? It was predicted to rain for three consecutive days. However, we lucked out when Saturday’s forecast showed a rain delay until the evening. We later found out that it would be a brutal thunderstorm instead of just rain. Regardless, the entire RVP team got together for a day of hiking around Waupun. We hit our favorite hotspots: County Z, the Horicon Marsh, and County Park. Tune in to hear more about our hikes, as well as our evening grill-out during the storm. I’d like to thank Kylle and Kristin for making this past weekend so wonderful! I can’t wait to get the whole camera crew together again. Love you both ❤️

Let’s goooooo! It’s a great day for more Footprints and Photographs. Today’s podcast and the Exposure page that goes along with it are special for an odd reason - they are two-for-one specials. The content on the pod and page covers our most recent trip to Iola, as well as our monthly recap of April. We didn’t have as many photos for the compilation page as we’d hoped, but that’s okay. We chose to stick them on this one instead. Tune in to hear about our camping trip in Iola and our weekend highlights from this month. April went pretty well; there were no complaints on my end. Topic: Thoughts while mowing the lawn.

Gang, strap in for another round of Footprints and Photographs! Carmen, Tonkie, and I went to the Shalom Wildlife Zoo to celebrate Tonkie’s 40th birthday. Our original plan was to go to the Madison Zoo and find a place to hike afterward. That didn’t turn out. Tonkie ended up injuring her foot earlier that week, leaving us with limited options on how to celebrate. However, luckily for us, Shalom offers rentable golf carts to get around the grounds; it makes the experience feel more like Jurassic Park. We had an amazing time and cannot wait to return! Happy birthday, Tonkie. We love you very much! ❤️🎂
