Folks! Welcome to May’s end-of-the-month compilation pod and page. May has been one crazy month. It seemed like every single weekend was fully booked; we couldn’t find much time for a day of rest. That’s okay! By staying busy, we ensure that we keep living life to its fullest. That’s the whole point, isn’t it? With that said, tune in to hear about Carmen and Baron’s birthday celebrations, our Amon Amarth concert, Eric and I’s morel mushroom hunting, my skydiving experience, Tonkie and I’s Willie Nelson concert, and our camping weekend in Iola. Topic: Reasons I enjoy recording Top of Mind segments.

Hi, folks! On May 18th, I experienced a life-changing event by skydiving at the Wisconsin Skydiving Center in Jefferson, WI. It was an event I had planned four months in advance; my mother signed up to join me on my adventure in March. However, skydiving wasn’t the only thing in store on the 18th. Tonkie and I were due to Milwaukee that same evening to celebrate her birthday at a Willie Nelson concert. We sure had one hell of a Saturday agenda! With that said, skydiving was one of the most life-changing experiences I’ve ever known; there’s nothing like it, not even close. I’d highly recommend it to anyone on the fence about the idea. Just do it. Seriously, you won’t regret it! I’d like to thank the entire team at the Wisconsin Skydiving Center for making our first jump an unforgettable experience. Also, a special thank you to Dario for being the coolest instructor imaginable!

Before we get to her weekend celebration, I wanted to reflect on how cool it has been to watch her grow up, how fulfilling it is to witness her reach milestones of development along the way, and to wish her the very best as she enters the adult world. Congrats, Carmen! You’re an adult now; welcome to real life. 🎁

It was a hell of a weekend! On May 4th, our concert crew (me, Tonks, Jason, Joe, Amy) saw Amon Amarth, Cannibal Corpse, Obituary, and Frozen Soul at The Sylvee. My father and I originally saw Amon Amarth in May of 2016 at a venue in Chicago; we’ve been hooked ever since! With that said, Tonks and Amy had never seen Amon or Cannibal play live. I’m glad the entire group could get together and witness another terrific show! Tune in to hear about our history with these bands, our pre-show adventure, and an unforgettable performance by the biggest names in Death Metal. 🤘

We’re back this week for round two of Footprints and Photographs! Today’s post comes as a surprise to us, meaning we had no intentions of getting an Exposure page over the weekend. How could we? It was predicted to rain for three consecutive days. However, we lucked out when Saturday’s forecast showed a rain delay until the evening. We later found out that it would be a brutal thunderstorm instead of just rain. Regardless, the entire RVP team got together for a day of hiking around Waupun. We hit our favorite hotspots: County Z, the Horicon Marsh, and County Park. Tune in to hear more about our hikes, as well as our evening grill-out during the storm. I’d like to thank Kylle and Kristin for making this past weekend so wonderful! I can’t wait to get the whole camera crew together again. Love you both ❤️
