Quick announcement! As of July, Spotify for Podcasters (formerly Anchor) has removed the ability to record content, edit audio, include music, run ambassador ads, and use free transitions. Also, they have deleted all of my saved audio files—including my pre-recorded show introductions. In my opinion, they keep fucking up their platform further and further each update; it continues to get worse and less efficient as time goes on. With that said, there will be no more pre-recorded show introductions for all future podcasts.

On this day in history, back in 1945, the first detonation of an atomic bomb occurred in the Los Alamos desert. 21 kilotons of explosive force shook the sky and obliterated the ground below. Since then, the destructive capabilities of atomic and nuclear weapons have risen astronomically. Today, I wanted to get behind the mic and remember that day in 1945. I often wonder what it would be like to be there in that moment, and to witness the first instance when humans developed the technology strong enough to destroy themselves. It’s wild to think about it, especially when you consider the ominous implications that loom above. With that said, nuclear threats are more relevant than ever in today’s times; we are in a modern-day Cold War with communism again. Tune in as I cover the events at the Trinity test site, the differences between atomic and nuclear weapons, why a day like the one in 1945 is so important to recognize and remember, and ponder humanity’s only hope in the Atomic Age.

Yeehaaaawwwww, partners! Grab your American flags and get em' waving! Today (July 4th), Hillbilly and I sat down to record our second installment of Thinkin' N Drinkin'. With that said, this WASN'T a virtual interview. Hillbilly is currently at our house to record our special before an afternoon of celebrating, drinking, grilling out, bonfire, and bag toss.
