Today’s episode covers my most recent experience at Apocalypse Paintball in Poynette, WI. My friends and I (about 23 of us) organized our first paintball excursion, it was the first time a majority of them had ever played! What was hyped up over the course of a couple weeks turned out to be an amazing time. Everyone involved was truly satisfied with how the day went, we cannot wait to return in the future. We’ve gotten a taste of paintball and the adrenaline associated with it, now we need more. I’d like to thank the staff at Apocalypse Paintball for being wonderful hosts! We were very impressed with the friendliness of the employees and all of the knowledge/tips they gave us. Apocalypse Paintball

I finished filling every page of my green writing notebook a few days ago. In that notebook, I kept each week’s schedule, all my gathered research, and hundreds of project ideas. I wasn’t sure what to do with the book when the pages were finished, it didn’t feel right to set it aside forever. While flipping back through the pages, I was able to revisit those moments of writing and remember each idea in its infancy. It was an extraordinary feeling to revel in the memories of creation. Each page subtly advanced my projects forward until the day came when they became physical products. Before leaving this notebook behind and starting a new one, I wanted to openly reflect on what those pages meant to me, the preciousness of an idea, and the importance of reflecting on the work that led me to where I am today. Thank you for tuning in!

This episode is dedicated to a very special person in my life, Carmen! Today marks her 17th birthday. She is an amazing daughter and as parents, Kristin and I couldn’t be prouder with the woman she has become! As a person, Carmen has grown an incredible amount in just a few years. Today is a great moment to reflect on that progress! One more year till adulthood. We wish her the very best and cannot wait to see what the next few years bring. Welcome back! I am very excited to announce our new YouTube channel, RVP From Above! This new platform will house all of our drone flights. On Exposure I am only able to upload 17-second clips, this is not the case on YouTube. I will be able to post full-length flights and thoroughly document the ground we cover. I will be posting the YouTube link on each month’s DJI compilation release. Although Exposure has been a dream for our photos and storytelling, we didn’t feel right about limiting our drone’s amazing capabilities. As Red Velvet Photography, we couldn’t be more jazzed up over this new opportunity!

Welcome back! Let’s get into another segment of, Footprints and Photographs. April has been a complete mixed bag of weather; Mother Nature cannot figure out what season she wants to be. We have experienced snow, heavy rain, freezing temperatures, 80 degree weather, and multiple hail storms. Only in Wisconsin, right? However, not all has been unpredictable. Life in the Horicon Marsh is starting to blossom very quickly. There has been a ginormous boom in the amount of hikers returning to the trails; that hasn’t been pleasant. Nevertheless, it is still nice to see people having the opportunity to enjoy nature after a long and brutal winter. We definitely need a comeback. Tune in to hear more about Wisconsin’s shift in the weather, our ability to travel more, Marshland adventures, and an introduction to the newest member of our team - the DJI MINI 2 drone. Hey gang! Saddle in for another round of, Footprints and Photographs. Boy, this has been a strange weekend for us. A lot of unusual events occurred. With April ending, this sure has been a hell of a month. I’m glad it ended with a bang! This was a weekend I will never forget. Hello friends! This is a special episode for us due to a recent acquisition. The kids and I surprised Kristin with a DJI Mini 2 drone to celebrate her birthday! We have been having a lot of fun with this thing; there is definitely a lot to learn. We are incredibly impressed with how elaborate the technology is! This opens a whole new world of possibilities with our photography and hiking as well.
