Meet the wonderful Jeraldine- a beautiful, intelligent and driven woman.
But Jeraldine wasn't always a woman.
From the age of six, Jerry knew she was different. She felt a divine feminine energy from within her.
But growing up in a strict Mormon household, in Denver Colorado, meant that Jeraldine couldn't be her true self.
This podcast explores Jeraldine's transition from a man into the wonderful woman she is today.
As a trans woman of colour, Jeraldine had had her fair share of facing adversity.
But that hasn't stopped her from living her best life, and #HotGirlSummer !
We discuss dating, reaching rock bottom and "Eat, Pray, Love moments".
This story is one of perseverance, following your gut and accepting your true self!
Thank you, Jeraldine, for sharing your incredible story with us.
We have learnt so much from you and we can't wait to have you back on Mind The Gap... as long as you give us more hair tips!
You can find Jeraldine at @medinaallum_jerry and stay tuned for her book release, "My Life In Transition".
As Jeraldine emphasises,
"Remember this is my journey and each journey is unique and different to one and all and remember to always seek medical support and advice when starting your journey into transitioning. Never feel alone and seek out help from organizations like trans hub, transhub.org.au
ACON, acon.org.au. And speak with a good safe psychologist".
