Mind The HeadSpace

Sorry for the two month hiatus, but we're back! This month's mix is a recording of the mostly Digital Cumbia set I played opening up for Balkan Bump at Flowmoon back in September! This mix is full of midtempo, psychedelic jams from some of my favorite artists from Central and South America. Welcome to another episode of Mind the HeadSpace! Bringing you the best in the more eclectic and cerebral side of Dallas area electronic music DJs and producers. This months mix is a live recording by first time contributor to the show, Austin based DJ, Billy Daves! In his words, this set is "an opportunity to showcase a ton of classic UK liquid, neuro, and dubby cuts considering I don't get a lot of opportunities to play this type of music. I'm somewhat of a chameleon DJ, so it's impossible for me to brand my taste and style as a curator. But if I'd have to try and describe my style in a sentence, I'd simply say that I have deep roots in house music, experimental bass, DnB, and downtempo - leaning more towards organic/world sounds in the more recent years. This mix was a wonderful opportunity to share some of my favorite drum & bass selects that I haven't rinsed in a while." Welcome to another episode of Mind the HeadSpace! Bringing you the best in the more eclectic and cerebral side of Dallas area electronic music DJs and producers. This months mix is a first time contribution from Dallas based DJ and producer, Ouroboros. In his own words, this mix is "Something of an all star mix, this set shines a spotlight on the many forms of Wave and Hardwave music that have come out over the last half decade. Some fresh new stuff, some old tried and true tracks, even some homies tunes! The beginning starts off on a more chill note and ramps up for a sonic journey through some of the best music that has been very inspirational for me. Not a short journey by any means but a fulfilling one for those who make it to the end! Hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it."
