These are desperate times.  And desperate times we need to remember what we’ve learned; what we already know is true but are so easy to forget.  So the first reminder—in this time of pandemic, stay at home orders, racial crimes, riots.  Go to Jesus with your desperation.  The Lord will fight for you, you need only to be still.  Second, you have priceless value.  Nothing you’ve done or that’s been done to you changes this.  Because you have been created in God’s image and God sent his son to die for you.  And the third reminder:  As God’s child you have the fire of the Holy Spirit in you.   And as you speak beautiful words and do beautiful works, that fire will spread to your family, to friends, to strangers, to the world!
