In Episode 4 of the Mindful Life Podcast I talk about my special interest and passion for the field of Hypnobirthing and my journey to becoming a Certified Hypnobirthing Childbirth Educator. I explore what Hypnobirthing is all about along with my thoughts on the medicalization of modern childbirth and the impact that medical interventions can have on birth satisfaction and post partum mental health. I also highlight the flip side of the; how a positive birth experience with the help of programs like hypnobirthing can reduce or even prevent medical intervention and in turn promote beneficial outcomes not only for mums mental health but for the mother baby relationship and the family as a whole. This episode is a little controversial, it’s a little left of centre and some may say a little radical, so I'd recommend approaching this episode with an open mind
