Ross, a certified International Behaviour Analyst (IBA), tells his story and his journey of how he ended up in Sydney, Australia.  He humbly shares how he strives to be a life-long learner and a leader in a foreign country. Ross talks about his current professional goals, which leads me to share a little bit about my own mindfulness practices and self-care routines. “Learning Through Experience”

When you are starting your 30th year of teaching, what are your professional development goals? How do you keep students engaged?  How do you keep learning as the teacher and continue to hone your craft?  Diana Pryor is one of the most joyful teachers I have had the privilege to work with.  You would never guess she has been at it over 30 years. She is energetic, passionate, engaged, and constantly growing her practice.  She is the kind of teacher you want your kids to be in class with, and the kind of colleague you want to have on your team. “5 Lessons  Learned from Emergency Remote Learning”
Looking for some inspiration on the pending school year?  Listen to Episode 1 with Dr. Jim Mahoney.  He is one of the best story tellers I know.  He interviewed teachers from across 7 states and shares with us 5 things that worked really well this spring during emergency remote learning.  He also offers 5 Principles of a GREAT teacher that he summarized from letters from his students 47 years ago. These 5 Principles are still relevant in our practice today. If you can bear with a few tech glitches I had for this first episode, you will definitely want to grab a notebook and pen and listen to what Jim has to say!
