Today’s meditation is called Working with Anxiety. It offers you the opportunity to work with the energies of anxiety and worry and to explore a more healthy and constructive response. This mediation can be done anywhere or anytime. It can be done lying down or sitting.
When we bring awareness to the energy of anxiety or worry, we allow ourselves to experience the feelings and make a choice as to act or not. Without awareness such feeling may automatically set habitual habits to be followed and with awareness you have a choice in how to act or stay with your feelings. Relief, can come from working with your thoughts, observing without accepting them and opening fully to body sensations and emotions. Experience the feelings and choose the next step.
The focus of Being Mindful Podcast No 9 is aligning with your purpose. With the New Year coming, for many it’s time to revisit personal goals, purpose or vision. Having a clear vision and connecting with your purpose helps you to grow and thrive. Having a clear sense of purpose can both anchor and guide you in those times when things do not go as to plan. Times when the job, your health, relationships, COVID-19 or when life feels a bit unclear. Being in tune with your mind, heart and body helps to recognise those times when you need to find a way back to you.
