Today’s guest, Brent Bowers, is an investor and coach with a focus on buying and selling vacant land. As an Army Officer with over 8 years of service, Brent was spending a great deal of time away from his family, and he knew he needed to make some changes in order to be more present with his wife and children. Brent began investing in real estate as a way to support his family while having more time to spend with them. In a short period of time, Brent was able to expand his business, hire a team, and (most importantly) spend quality time with his family while still working hard and helping others. Brent now helps other investors learn the ins and outs of buying land. Welcome to the show, Brent!

Jack Krupey – Principal & Founder of JKAM Investments – has been investing in both real estate and distressed debt since 2001. He has built long term relationships with experienced real estate developers, sponsors, and syndicators over his 20 year career. Jack leveraged the 2008 financial crisis as part of a private equity fund that yielded impressive returns off of distressed and restructured debt. He repositioned properties as well as modified and restructured loans for borrowers.

In 2014, Jack entered into a partnership with a large private equity fund and led the asset management arm of the firm that made over 3 billion dollars in purchases of non-performing and re-performing mortgage debt between 2015 and 2019. An entrepreneur by nature, Jack decided to launch JK Asset Management and the JKAM Diversified RE Fund to focus on alternative assets such as value-add multifamily real estate. 

Jack graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a bachelors in Information Technology. Jack graduated with a Dual MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management and from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Denis began investing in real estate in 2012, when the market was just beginning to recover from the GFC (Global Financial Crisis). He built a cash flowing portfolio including many alternative assets, such as Note and ATM funds, mobilehome parks, life insurance policies, tech start-ups, Industrial property, short term rentals, and more. He co-founded an investment club for accredited investors in 2019. Following the success of his investor club he launched SIH Capital Group. SIHCG provides accredited investors with a simplified strategy to invest for passive income. Denis has observed key changes in the alternative asset market in the decade of recovery from the GFC. The JOBS Act of 2012 opened many alternative assets up to everyday investors, but clear expertise and guidance is still hard to find nearly a decade later.

Russell Nersesov is a Commercial Real Estate Owner, Developer, Operator, and Founding Partner of Safe Storage USA. Prior to Safe Storage USA, he worked within the Real Estate industry for over 18 years managing and owning various commercial and residential real estate assets. 

As a licensed Realtor, Russell has developed and sold numerous single-family residences; he also invested in several multi-family projects, eventually leading to his investment in self-storage facilities. 

Before beginning his career in real estate, Russell earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Excelsior College in New York and his Graduate Degree in Chiropractic from the New York Chiropractic College and has been a practicing Chiropractor for 23 years. He is fluent in English and Russian, enjoys travel, fast cars, motorcycles, and spending time with his wife, two daughters, and two four-legged friends.

Alex has been a real estate investor since 2014, starting with buying distressed single family homes during the foreclosure boom and turning them into rentals. Once building a single family portfolio became boring, in 2019 Alex decided to purchase a 24 unit multifamily property, then in 2020 he purchased a 52 unit through syndication.

Alex is a U.S. Army veteran who was stationed at Fort Bragg, he also holds a bachelor degree in Finance from the University of North Carolina. Alex was previously a risk analyst in the underwriting department for an SBA lender in Las Vegas and lately he has been flipping homes and adding short term rentals to his portfolio.

Alex spends the remainder of this time obsessively consuming books, lifting weights at the gym, building Life and Lens, a media company that primarily creates promotional material for events and other real estate investors.

Lee got his start in real estate in 2012 building a property management department of a residential brokerage from 20 doors to 220 doors in 4 years. After being inspired by his clients’ successes, he decided to start investing in 2016. Relocating to St. Louis in order to pursue investing in 2017, Lee began with a duplex and continued to purchase smaller properties until he found “The Power Of Partnerships” by partnering with an ex-nfl player from CA and with their combined efforts, were able to close a 38 unit apartment complex Joint Venture in Lee’s’ backyard of St. Louis, MO in October of 2019.

After seeing the results of the 38 unit and garnering experience in larger properties, Lee continued to build momentum in investing/dealmaking while building a ROCKSTAR TEAM to pursue EVEN LARGER DEALS through syndication. That team closed its first 506B Syndication of a 76 Unit Apartment Complex in St. Louis in October of 2020 (right in the middle of COVID), then a JV 70 Unit in August of 2021 and a 7 unit in November 2021 for a total of 203 doors.

Now Lee’s team is under contract on a 272 unit 506C syndication set to close by the end of 2021 which will more than double the portfolio.

Actively building a sizable portfolio of LARGER MULTIFAMILY PROPERTIES throughout the greater St. Louis MSA and expanding to additional markets throughout the Midwest and Southeast, focusing on Value-Add Opportunities is the main focus of the continental growth in his investing journey through expansion with the development of Green Forest Capital - Real Estate Investing With A Conscience.
