38 - Based on the variances that exist in mainstream media reporting, nobody seems to fully know the facts surrounding the pandemic of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Our media is in business to get ratings, not fully present facts, and nothing drives ratings more than inciting fear and potential panic. With that in mind, it can be very difficult to receive factual information on the outbreak. In this monologue, Evan recites facts about Coronavirus originally presented by infectious disease expert Michael Osterholm, and questions the systems we currently operate in to sufficiently provide for the health of people in an outbreak such as this. While the virus won't go away tomorrow no matter what we do, there are mindful solutions and precautions we can begin to take when it comes to understanding this outbreak. None of those precautions should involve panic.
